Who We Are

CEAI is a key stakeholder across the National Hub Network, is an active and regular contributor to government policy discussions, and is the respected Expert Voice for the community enterprise sector and the wider enterprise hub network across Ireland.

Under its strategic remit – and in recognition of the importance of community enterprise centres and enterprise hubs to supporting regional development and the growth of microbusinesses, SMEs, and High Potential Start Ups (HPSU) – Enterprise Ireland has led significant investment to a value estimated at around €260 million on behalf of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment
since the late 1980s.

Working to complement this investment, CEAI represents the interests of Enterprise Ireland and of these infrastructural investment initiatives to government, to funding agencies, and to the wider stakeholder community, both nationally and internationally.

The history of CEAI demonstrates visionary leadership, tenacity, and a long-lasting commitment to building stronger communities and robust and resilient local economies across the regions for decades ahead, while continuing to identify and build on opportunities to further the sector.
