Who We Are

CEAI: Powered By Exceptional People Delivering Impactful Change

We are a small independent organisation, committed to supporting the community enterprise sector across the regions.  The Association was formed – initially emerging as regional networks (seven regional networks by 2008) and then as a national network in 2008 – to independently represent, facilitate, and advocate on behalf of the sector to government departments and national agencies.

As an independent CLG,  CEAI is funded and supported by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and Enterprise Ireland in addition to a range of funding and grant sources in Ireland and the EU.

Our Purpose

CEAI is the Respected and Independent Expert Voice for enterprise centres, enterprise hubs, and the wider community enterprise sector across Ireland.

We exist to independently represent, facilitate, and advocate on behalf of the sector, working with people and communities to promote and support enterprise development and to drive job creation, economic growth, and positive social impact across the region.

We have proven successes in building community, facilitating connections, and supporting collaboration across the sector and we are driven to ensure that CEAI continues to grow its reputation as the Respected and Independent Expert Voice for the community enterprise sector in Ireland.

Our Priorities

Supporting the ongoing growth and future financial sustainability of the community enterprise sector is a key priority for CEAI and in doing so, our approach is to focus very specifically on key priority areas including:

Performance Excellence

Skills and Talent

Strategic Partnerships

Sustainability and Climate Action

Building Our Future
